Lie #1: "There is proof that the female coyote was bred and had puppies."
- Lt Powell of the NYSDEC.
Truth: This was stated by Region 8's very own head trout trooper, Lt. Powell, to a number of people, thereby breaching the integrity and confidentiality of the case which is afforded each "investigation" done by his department. Really, there are no investigations performed by the ECON Dept. It's been said that a licensee will lose their licensing if they challenge or fight back against the Special Licenses Unit or ECON Officers. I can personally attest to this allegation.
There is evidence sustaining the fact that Powell started his campaign of hate as early as the day after he decided to seize the coyotes from our rehab facility. Soon, we hope to reveal the fate of the coyotes was as a result of Powell's intervention, once we get the full story from reliable sources. In the meantime, take what Powell says with a grain of salt as that's all it is worth.

Lie #2: "Since she got her license taken away for selling coyote pups online under a different name, her word doesn't mean much in my book." - Michael Frazier of Frazier Farms (exotic animal breeder)
Truth: First, I really couldn't care less about what or whom Mr. Frazier takes any word from or believes. Second, I had no license taken away for selling coyote pups much less selling them online. They were posted for permanent placement as educational animals on two different pages on facebook: NY Wildlife Placement Network and my foxery page, Burgundy & Blue Foxery. It was stated that the adult coyotes were over a year old and needed experienced caregivers who would need to be approved by the NYSDEC as the coyotes were not mine to sell or give away. Mr. Frazier better be a little more careful in how he treats women online. He has been accused of selling red foxes by passing them off as hybrids when it was still illegal to sell red foxes in his state. Don't throw stones if you live in glass houses!!!

Lie #3: "I heard a disturbing story about you keeping and taming coyotes and breeding a brother and sister then sold the pups". - Kim Cassidy
Truth: ... and that's what it is, just a story. passed around by Lieutenant William Powell of the New York State Department of Conservation Law Enforcement Division. The coyotes were not kept for any other reason other than they were determined to be non-releasable by someone I regarded at the time as a good source to make that call. Given their alleged non-releasability, I conferred with my vet and made many calls in order to place them elsewhere. I did my best rehabbing them but given the close quarters of the facility, it just wasn't enough for them. Almost from the time the litter arrived at the facility, I had made calls constantly to transfer them to a larger rehabilitation facility; something I didn't think would be a problem. Hence, I took in the pups without much concern for finding a facility for their rehab. After the first few months of possessing the pack, I extended my search from the state of New York to all around the country. It was imperative to do so in order to get information on their husbandry and how to keep them wild. Once they were regarded as non-releasable, calls were made to other facilities and potential private owners in order to obtain long-term or permanent placement for them elsewhere.
It's important to note, however, that by targeting me publicly, Cassidy ensured that no one would want to take in any of the coyotes. By reacting to what was nothing more than hearsay, Cassidy violated basic ethical standards by not only blaming a colleague for something the colleague didn't even do to ensuring the demise of animals that desperately needed placement. I believe that behaving in this manner, especially in having apathy for the animals at the core of the issue that needed someone else's intervention at that point, clearly indicated how morally bankrupt Cassidy is.
Of course, it's okay that she breaks the law again and again for years by illegally taking in RVS species, especially raccoons, and socializing other wild animals by keeping them in and around her house where they interact with her children and domestic pets. She should not be allowed to keep her license, especially since she also has at least one "non-releasable" that she keeps without a license. She has violated more laws regarding the rehabbing and possession of wild animals than anyone I heard of or with whom I've become acquainted.
Again, don't throw stones if you live in glass houses!

Lie #4: " ... [her animals] are living in their own waste ... I have the full support of the DEC and USDA .... [in refusing to return animals to their rightful owner, per contract]"
Truth: This was said by Tyler Thomas of Fragile Planet Wildlife Center who has the reputation, especially now, for converting ownership of animals belonging to other people to himself, when there is no legal basis for doing so, especially since the animals are acquired by him for short-term purposes only (e.g. - boarding, loan).
There is more than one piece of evidence that has been submitted to a court of law that states Tyler was never given any permission by state or federal authorities, whatsoever, to take the animals that he took in as part of a boarding arrangement. There are procedures that state and federal authorities are required to follow and they wouldn't elicit the help of a private individual like Tyler. If conditions were truly bad, authorities could seize or confiscate animals at the drop of a hat through warrants, injunctions and other instruments they often use in cases like those where animals are truly abused or neglected.
Besides, who is Tyler to judge? Upon review of his USDA inspection reports, one will read how he made the three animals he boarded and now stole, live in their own waste. Sound familiar? And that isn't even the worst report he has had written about him.

Lie #5: "I was ethically obligated to say you intended to breed the coyotes after they [Leutenant William Powell of the NYSDEC Law Enforcement Devision] examined your female and was indicated she'd given birth. The vet that euthanized them said otherwise."
- Jami Hammer, Indiana Coyote Rescue
Truth: No such conversation was had with Ms. Hammer. which can be implied by the written statement itself which she wrote for the indelible Lieutenant William Powell of Region 8 on May 12, 2016, the day after the coyotes were seized. Below is the passage written in Ms. Hammer's statement sent to Powell at his command.

Below is the passage written in Ms. Hammer's statement sent to Powell at his command.
This statement (to the left) from Ms. Hammer definitely reveals her ignorance of animal behavior. By stating that the only reason why a person would want to keep both a male and female of any species is to breed, is clearly erroneous. It doesn't take an "expert" on animal behavior, which Hammer is not (regardless of her self-serving attitude), to understand that there are other reasons for keeping a male and female. For instance, in my case, I wanted to keep a male and female in order to increase the chances that the two animals would live more harmoniously together than two males would. In addition, I had inquired from two veterinarians about spaying the female (evidence presented during the March 2018 hearing). Hence, my intention was to keep two for educational reasons. However, as time went on, and the coyotes grew and I had more projects to tend to around my facility, I gradually realized that keeping any of the pack members was just more than I could handle, especially long-term.
Boy, wouldn't the renown CeAnn, who started the Indiana Coyote Rescue, be rolling over in her grave seeing what Hammer has been up to with the rescue and how Ms. Hammer treats others.

Lie #6: Referring to my home as "house of horrors".
Truth: Another smooth talker, Ron or Ronnie or Ronald Strack (also with the screen name of "Rob Case") is a fox owner in Batavia, Ohio whom I met via facebook when I was posting in one of the fox forums. This idiot has many people believing that he is a wildlife biologist by trade and education and a sniper who saves the world by protecting the wolf population in Yellowstone. Like Jami Hammer of Indiana Coyote Rescue, his lies are quite extensive and primarily serve to soothe his own ego. For Strack, lies also serve to defame someone who found the truth behind all of his cat-fishing on Facebook. His story is quite entertaining and boy is he a good storyteller. Hence, he also has a dedication devoted to him on the soon to be available page, Revealing The Rot!
It is important to note that Ronnie has never even been to New York state, much less to my facility and/or home. He has virtually no way of knowing what condition my house is in. However, I would also be remiss if I didn't note that his house, on the other hand, with the animals he keeps in there: foxes, reptiles, dogs, etc. has been described as a "disgusting mess" by someone who use to live with him not too long ago. Funny how, like Tyler Thomas, Strack accuses another person of something of which he is guilty.

Lie #7: "Some sell them as "fur" and skirt the law as long as they don't cross state lines. Some states do not allow them for anything but fur like NY." - Michael Frazier
Truth: He's Baaaack! Frazier clearly regards himself knowledgeable on New York State Agricultural and Conservation Law. Unfortunately, he's rarely, if ever, correct about his interpretations of the laws promulgated by a state he's probably never been in and to which he has no ties. He is the reason why I never listened to out-of-staters in the interpretation of NYS Law when I first started out as a brand new exotic animal owner. It's also important to point out that Frazier's motive is to pare down the competition in the fox industry and probably the exotic animal industry as a whole; especially if you are a female. He will jump on any bandwagon organized or coming together to publicly shame and damage a business Obviously, Frazier really doesn't like women as I don't think I have ever noticed him talking to men the way he does women, at least on-line anyways.

Lie #8: "She has a dead horse on the lawn over there!" - Kim Ingerick
Truth: This is a statement relayed to the local PD by one of my neighbors who made a complaint. As one can see, Ingerick isn't very knowledgable about animals, even the common ones. So here's a little lesson for her:

Lie #9: "She had one of her licenses terminated!" - Attorney Michael F. Young for defendant Tyler Thomas of Fragile Planet Wildlife Center.
Truth: Oh cripe! Here's another person of "high caliber" on the opposite side! I know it's difficult defending a person who is as untruthful (to say it as nicely as i can) as Mr. Tyler Thomas but I think the best legal advice I've ever heard was to keep it real and honest, especially when you are standing in front of a judge in a court of law.
Termination means to end something before its natural term. In this case, a license would be considered "terminated" if it was revoked which would be ending the benefits of the license prior to the original date of expiration. My Wildlife Rehabilitation License expired on December 31, 2016 and, although the renewal paperwork was sent in on time, the NYSDEC held onto it refusing to process it for nine and a half months. By doing this, they violated their own law stating that they have 45 days in which to notify the applicant of their decision on the license. Technically, I am still licensed as a Wildlife Rehabilitator, according to New York State Conservation Law. Likewise, according to the legal department at the NYSDEC, as of July 2018, I still have my license to collect & possess.
I have to say, however, it was quite entertaining watching Mr. Young soil his Pampers™ in the middle of the courtroom and then again outside of the courtroom. I never thought I could get to an attorney like that and cause such an emotional breakdown - especially without the intention of doing so.
